Top 5 tips for better tone with POD X3 Live

1. Run line out to PA and use your Amp as a monitor. You can bypass the pre-amp if you have effects send/return jacks or set your tone controls to match the PA sound.

2. Use less distortion and treble. What ever you think sounds good at home, decrease the distortion and treble/presence by 10 to 15 percent. This will usually ensure a nice tone without the fuzz...

3. If you have access to recording software, record you tones and play them back. This can help you fine tune your tone.

4. Never assume that just because it sounds good through your amp that it will sound good through the PA.

5. Use POD reverb sparingly or not at all when playing through a PA system.

Great Acoustic Tone for the Pod X3. I use a Fender DG20CE.

Pod X3 Live Patches

This is a pretty good medium to heavy Crunch/Lead tone. Works great with Epiphone or Strat. Use it for Worship songs regularly. Lower the drive for a Milder bluesy tone. Distorts more the harder you play.
